Remembering Leonard “Aryeh” Faltz

Emeritus Professor Leonard “Aryeh” Faltz passed away on December 8, 2020. He taught at Arizona State University from 1979 until his retirement in 2005, first in the English Department and then in the Department of Computer Science/Engineering. Colbourn’s lifetime of design theory work lands Stanton Medal

Charles Colbourn is the recipient of the 2019 Stanton Medal from the Institute of Combinatorics and its Applications, or ICA, for his lifetime contributions to the discipline of combinatorics. The medal recognizes Colbourn’s efforts in support of combinatorial design theory through advocacy, outreach, service and teaching.  

Feng Ju named SME Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer

Feng Ju, an assistant professor of industrial engineering in the School of Computing, Informatics, and Decision Systems Engineering, was recently named an Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer by SME (formerly called the Society of Manufacturing Engineers).
