Spotlight on Teaching and Learning

We are excited to welcome the Fulton Schools community back to campus for the fall semester! Included below are a few tips and resources to start your semester successfully from the FSE Learning and Teaching Hub, or LTH.

Here are a few research-based tips to start the semester for your students’ successful learning:

  • Set the tone. Make the most of the first day of class. This is your opportunity to establish procedures for the rest of the semester and showcase the tone for the kind of learning environment your class will cultivate.
  • Add an activity with your syllabus review. Here are a few ideas from our Instructional Innovation Coaches.
  • Create an inclusive community. Consider how you might create an inclusive classroom and get to know the diverse Fulton Schools student body.
