Join the Instructional Innovation Coaches as they delve into implementing best practices and innovating for meaningful student engagement and success.

Coach’s Corner Podcast is a place where engineering faculty can learn, connect and grow together. Through engaging video and podcast episodes that blend practical teaching tips with authentic student voices, it sparks meaningful reflection and conversation about what works in engineering classrooms. Hosted by the Instructional Innovation Coaches, each episode explores topics like student motivation, assessment, technology and active learning through conversations with engineering faculty and engineering student voices.

The premiere episode, “Motivate to Innovate: Insights with Ryan Meuth,” dives into what really keeps students engaged in the classroom. Featuring candid student reflections and a lively conversation with Fulton Schools computer science and engineering Teaching Professor Ryan Meuth, the episode explores how authentic energy and interactive teaching can transform learning. Hear students share what makes classes click — hands-on activities, real-world examples and chances to collaborate — while Meuth reveals simple, high-impact ways to spark motivation and participation. The episode also touches on a challenge many instructors face — how to “give up control” in active classrooms — and offers practical ideas for creating space where students take the lead and learning comes alive.
