Maciejewski joined the Fulton Schools as a faculty member in 2011 and has demonstrated innovative scholarship and a strong research record across his tenure. He is a collaborative, well-respected and valued colleague and contributor in SCAI as well as in his professional community, recognized nationally and internationally for his outstanding contributions to his field.

In the Fulton Schools, Maciejewski has been recognized by Dean Kyle Squires with the title of Ira A. Fulton Professor of Computer Science and was named an ASU Global Security Fellow and a Fulton Schools Faculty Exemplar. 

He has also spent the last six years as director of the Center for Accelerating Operational Efficiency, or CAOE, a Department of Homeland Security Center of Excellence that develops and applies advanced analytical tools and technologies to enhance planning, information sharing and real-time decision making in homeland security operations. 

Maciejewski is also a prolific author, publishing his work in high-visibility and selective venues. The impact of his work is shown through its diverse set of applications, extending well beyond fields directly related to his fields of expertise. His body of work has been celebrated for its capacity to combine sophisticated computational analysis algorithms and techniques with powerful, interactive visualization interfaces. 

Maciejewski’s accomplishments as a classroom instructor, an undergraduate mentor and a leader in training programs developed beyond the classroom have also established him as a successful educator, with a sustained record of achievements engaging ASU’s students. 

Throughout his tenure, Maciejewski has been a highly regarded member of the Fulton Schools faculty and a respected leader, colleague, professor and researcher. Join us in celebrating his transition into this new role!
