WordPress to Drupal website migration project begins for faculty, lab websites

The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering is participating in a university-mandated transition of all faculty and lab websites from WordPress to the centrally supported Drupal platform. This change comes at the direction of the Provost and the Office of General Counsel to ensure all ASU websites operate within a unified, secure and centrally managed environment.
Email communications outlining the project, timeline and expectations have already been sent to faculty and lab site owners as part of a phased rollout. If you maintain a site and did not receive these messages — or if you are unsure whether your site is included — contact the Fulton Schools Web Services team at [email protected] to ensure you receive future updates.
All faculty and lab websites will migrate between Monday, May 11, 2026, and Monday, July 6, 2026, the window established by ASU’s Enterprise Technology team and hosting partner Acquia. A full content freeze will be in effect for the entire duration of this period, meaning sites are live but must remain in a static state so all content transfers correctly. (Note: The migration window was recently updated from Monday, April 27, 2026, through Monday, June 22, 2026.)
Sites will go live at the completion of the project, followed by training and onboarding resources to help site owners get oriented to the new platform. Additional details, FAQs and ongoing updates are available on the project web page.
