Get ready to show your spooky spirit in the 2025 Fulton Schools Halloween Competition.

Register your team by Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025, to join the annual event.

Rules and guidelines

  • Team funding: Teams can request $150 to spend on decorations or viewing party treats.
  • Location: Your space must be a public Fulton Schools space accessible to students, staff and faculty.
  • Materials: Teams may use decorations from previous years, donated items or staff-made creations.
  • Safety: All designs must follow safety policies and be respectful in theme and presentation.

Decorating begins Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, and must be completed by Thursday, Oct, 30, 2025.

Judging will take place on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025 (subject to change based on participation).

Judging process

  • A group of students and staff will visit each participating space (about 10 minutes per visit).
  • Polytechnic campus units may be judged in person or over Zoom, depending on registrations and student availability.
  • Judging details and schedule will be shared on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025.

Judges will score entries in the following categories, awarding first, second and third place in each category. Final winners will be determined by averaging scores across all categories.

  • Costumes.
  • Trick or treats.
  • Chosen theme.
  • Level of detail in decorating.
  • Team spirit.

Special United Way Prize

Show your support for United Way! Teams that most creatively incorporates United Way into their theme will be considered for this additional award. (Yes — your team can win both a place prize and the United Way prize!)
