Congrats to Dean and Vice Provost Kyle Squires on becoming the newest member of the Global Engineering Deans Council

On July 12, the Global Engineering Deans Council, or GEDC, welcomed Dean and Vice Provost Kyle Squires as a new member. The GEDC is a global network of engineering deans, industry representatives and stakeholders leveraging collective strengths for the advancement of engineering education and research.

The GEDC was established in 2018 when leaders of engineering education institutions and corporate partners from around the world recognized the need for a global forum of engineering deans and rectors. Through research, networking, industry collaborations and global exchange, the GEDC has a vision to enhance the capabilities of engineering deans to transform schools to support societies in a global economy.

Dean Squires is recognized for his leadership of the largest and most comprehensive engineering school in the U.S. One of Squires’ goals as dean has been to advance the Fulton Difference, which provides opportunities beyond the classroom that include student research, peer mentoring, entrepreneurship, industry partnerships, internships and community service. These and other components of the student experience help ensure Fulton Schools graduates are prepared to make an impact in their communities and around the world.
