Support the United Way — fill out a pledge by Jan. 31

Since 1925, the Valley of the Sun United Way has served the needs of individuals and families in Maricopa County, but they can’t do it without the support of volunteers, partners, donors and businesses. That is where you come in! The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering and Arizona State University community has a goal of raising $710,000.

As our United Way campaign comes to its conclusion, we are eager to make one last collective effort to maximize our impact. To add an exciting element to this final push, we are thrilled to announce a raffle featuring prizes (such as escape room vouchers, gift cards to Berry Divine Acai Bowls and Drunk Shakespeare tickets) generously donated by local businesses.

A big congratulations to this week’s Fulton Schools of Engineering United Way Raffle Winner — Dan Traynor in EDO Marketing and Communications! The raffle prize for this week’s drawing is a gift certificate to Berry Divine and a 4-player gift certificate to Escapology Tempe! Hahnna Christianson in the Dean’s Office will reach out through email and coordinate the best way to get the prize your way. 

We still have a few drawings left for the month, and it is easy to get your name into the raffle. A reminder on the raffle participation rules below: 

  • If you have already submitted your United Way form (electronically or through the paper pledge), you will receive a second ticket for next week’s drawing to have a higher chance of winning.
  • If you haven’t yet submitted your United Way form, please submit your form before Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, at 5 p.m., and you’ll automatically be entered into next week’s raffle.

With another to support the United Way, the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment gathered recipes, created a cookbook and is selling copies to raise money for the United Way.
