Jerry Lin named co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Membrane Science
Jerry Lin, a Regents Professor at Arizona State University, was recently appointed co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Membrane Science, a flagship journal in the field of synthetic membranes.
“Membranes are used widely in industry and health sectors, ranging from desalination, water purification, kidney dialysis, production of oxygen, food processing, air pollution control, et cetera,” Lin said. “The journal is one of the top journals in the group of chemical engineering journals in the world.”
The Journal of Membrane Science publishes research and reviews by chemical engineers, academic and industrial chemists, materials scientists and membranologists who work on membrane systems and membrane formation.
Membranology has applications in a variety of fields such as water treatment or gas separation.
Currently, Lin is one of 10 editors of the journal, with co-editors hailing from multiple countries across Europe and Asia.
Lin will assume his position as Editor-in-Chief on January 1, 2020, overseeing journal operations and selecting editors of the journal.
