Sign up for the spring science communication workshop series starting Feb. 13

Are you interested in learning how to communicate your research with nonspecialists? Would you like to become more adept at sharing your ideas across wider formats such as blogs, social media and podcasts? Join us for a three-part workshop based on the Nature Masterclasses course Effective Science Communication. Participants will learn how to identify the key messages of their research, tailor their ideas to specific audiences and practice writing in a variety of formats. We will also introduce specific opportunities at ASU and beyond where you can share the products you develop in this workshop series.
Pre-work is based on the Nature Masterclass Effective Science Communication, with in-person sessions to workshop writing and put principles into practice. These workshops are designed for early-career faculty, postdoctoral researchers and advanced graduate students, but would benefit any faculty looking for an in-person opportunity to practice and refine their scientific storytelling and public science communication skills.
This spring workshop series is organized by Knowledge Enterprise’s Research Development office and the Fulton Schools Office of Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. If you do not yet have a free account on Nature Masterclasses, please visit the website and use your institutional SSO to create one.
If you have any questions, please contact Daniel Froid, [email protected], and Erica O’Neil, [email protected].
