Attend the Southwest Robotics Symposium, Oct. 31–Nov. 1

Calling all Sun Devils interested in exploring the future of robotics, artificial intelligence, or AI, and human collaboration! ASU will host the Southwest Robotics Symposium, or SWRS 2025, on the Tempe campus from Friday, Oct. 31–Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025.

The event is open to all students, researchers and professionals across engineering, computer science, health care, design, policy and beyond.

This year’s theme is robotics for the next decade.

The symposium will feature:

  • Plenary talks from distinguished speakers across top universities.
  • Poster sessions where students can showcase research (submissions due Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025).
  • Industry booths highlighting the latest innovations.
  • Lab tours at both the Tempe and Polytechnic campuses.

Key topics include:

  • Environmental and field robotics.
  • Medical, assistive and wearable robotics.
  • Manipulation and locomotion.
  • Bio-inspired and soft robotics.
  • Foundation models in robotics.
  • Human-AI-robot systems and ethics.

Confirmed speakers include leaders from Yale University, Oregon State University, Rutgers University, the University of Michigan, Cornell University, Tufts University, the University of Southern California and more.

Submit your poster to the Southwest Robotics Symposium by Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025.
