Share with your students: Apply to the Sandia Graduate Student Summer Fellowship by Dec. 1

This program provides science, technology, engineering and mathematics research experiences that support Sandia National Laboratories, or SNL, Research Fellows. Sandia summer fellows will conduct research in close collaboration with SNL mentors and technical staff to engage in challenging research and development projects. They will also be included in meetings, events and tours sponsored by the SNL Student Intern Program and Universities Resaerch Association to support professional development and STEM network engagement. Research will involve unclassified projects in a variety of science and technology fields. Applicants must be full-time graduate students and US citizens for eligibility.
Depending on the appointment location of the Sandian mentor paired with each fellow, the fellowship will be served either at SNL’s Albuquerque, New Mexico, or Livermore, California, site. The stipend will be based on participation for three months (12 weeks, 40 hours/week) and the fellow’s progress towards completing their degree as of May 2025.
