The Southwest Robotics Symposium, or SWRS, is back!

This is a premier destination for researchers, industry partners and robot enthusiasts from around the southwest and beyond to discuss robotics research and see innovative hardware. The symposium will host talks, research poster sessions, lab tours, industry dialog, exhibitions and demonstrations. This two-day event also includes two plenary talks, topic-driven sessions and industry booths. This year’s theme is “Robotics for Social Good.”

The schedule contains a lineup of invited speakers featuring leaders in planning and learning, safety, medical robotics, human-robot systems and soft robotics.

Do you have students who want to present a poster at the event? The submission deadline has been extended.

Please have your students submit a one-page abstract describing their research endeavors for consideration for the symposium poster session. Selected posters will be given three minutes for an oral pitch presentation during the event. This will allow students to gain exposure to their research and feedback from a dedicated group of professionals, as well as meet new people in the robotics community and learn about exciting research from the technical sessions.

Students: Apply for the poster presentation by Monday, Sept. 30. 2024.
