Middle school mentoring program 2022

Download the flyer.

Have some extra time, want to give back to the community but just can’t right now because of the pandemic? This is a safe alternative. You can make a huge positive impact on some awesome young students’ lives through our online mentoring program. The mentor program at Gililland Middle School is going into its fourth year. Many students in this school face a lot of challenges and they just need someone to show they matter and have a bright future. You can still be hands-on and have a rewarding experience while still being safe. You don’t need any prior experience, you change their lives by being there and just being you.

The weekly mentor program will be starting Tuesday, January 11, 2022, from 3:20–4:30 p.m. Arizona time. You do not need to be in Arizona to be a part of it, you just have to adjust the time zone accordingly.

The students at this school need us as mentors now more than ever. With this program, the mentors and students all get in a Google Classroom together. You will be given the link to get in and the lesson plan for that day 24 hours before so you know exactly what will be happening. Seasoned mentors will lead the lesson plans. All you are responsible for is interacting with the students and other mentors, and of course have a smile and a positive attitude!

Share this mentoring opportunity with your students, too!
