The 2022 Arizona Women in Higher Education (AWHE) Annual Conference will be held as a hybrid conference this year from Thursday, April 7, 2022–Friday, April 8, 2022. The conference provides in-person networking opportunities while workshops will remain virtual. The AWHE Workshop Committee is seeking proposals from applicants to facilitate 50-minute workshops relating to this year’s conference theme, “Bridging Divides: Building Constructive Collaboration.”

The committee welcomes proposals from individuals of any gender identity who support AWHE’s commitment to improving the general climate and professional environment for women in Arizona’s higher education systems. This includes, but is not limited to, individuals in faculty and/or staff roles, community leaders and anyone who is a champion for women in higher education.

Proposals can, and should, highlight challenges and opportunities for individuals in any stage of their career:

  • New to higher education
  • Transitioning to new roles
  • Executive
  • Moving into retirement

Successful workshop proposals are grouped into tracks that will center around the following topics:

  • Collaboration and Teamwork
  • Bridging Divides
  • Career Planning & Professional Growth
  • Diversity and Equity
  • Connection while working from home
  • Mentoring and Leadership
  • Well-Being during a global pandemic

To submit a proposal, please fill out the form by Friday, January 28, 2022. All applicants will be notified in February 2022 — presenters will have their registration fee waived.
