Ann McKenna earned the first Diversity and Inclusion Award in 2020 in recognition of her inclusive leadership in the Fulton Schools.

Recognize faculty and staff demonstrating commitment to creating and fostering a diverse and inclusive environment that aligns with the goals of DII@FSE and the ASU Charter. Examples include creating a new initiative or experience that advances inclusion at a unit, school or college level; creating partnerships with community organizations that are committed to diversity and inclusion; and conducting research that impacts the academic field of diversity and inclusion.

Nominations must include:

  1. Nominee name and affiliation (unit within the Fulton Schools).
  2. Description of how the nominee’s actions advanced diversity and inclusion initiatives of DII@FSE beyond their expected duties and responsibilities in their current role. (Recommended 300-500 words). 
  3. Description of the value the nominee created to impact the ASU community and/or local community in the context of DII@FSE goals and ASU Charter. (Recommended 100-200 words). 
  4. A 50-100 word summary of the nominee’s contributions to diversity and inclusion (this will be shared publicly at the Fulton Schools Service, IMPACT and Fulton Difference Awards event on Tuesday, April 6, 2021). 

Submit your nomination in a single PDF to Annette Bowers at Annette.bowers@asu.edu by Friday, March 26, 2021, at 5 p.m. MST.

Nominations will be reviewed by representatives from the DII@FSE committee. All nominees will be highlighted at the Fulton Schools Service, IMPACT and Fulton Difference Awards event.
