The Ignite Sparky Design Challenge aims to level-up Sparky, the most loved and feared mascot in the Pac-12, if not the entire NCAA, by developing the most awe-inspiring and innovative mascot powers imaginable. During social-distancing, Sparky wants to hunker down and essentially become a technologically-enhanced super hero in time for the Fall 2021 school sports season. He also wants to leverage ASU’s #1 in Innovation status to become the most innovative college mascot in the world. To do so, he needs your help.
The entire Sun Devil community is invited to participate virtually in the challenge and compete to win cash, prizes, scholarships, fame and fortune, along with Sparky’s eternal gratitude. All winners and runners up will be invited to compete in the semi-final round of the challenge this coming spring when the winning design team will be awarded a $50K grand prize to Ignite Sparky for REAL!
- $1500 prize for the winning student team members
- $1500 prize for alumni chapter teams (for scholarships and events)
- $1500 prize for full-time staff and faculty teams (for scholarships, United Way campaigns, office perks, etc.)
- Plus, other ASU swag and prizes for runners up and participants
