Apply for the funded opportunity to build an idea into a minimum viable product (MVP) in eight weeks with the Mozilla Fix the Internet Spring MVP Lab. This is targeted at students, but all people around the world are welcomed to apply. At the end of eight weeks, there are additional monetary awards for the most promising MVPs, and an invitation into the Mozilla Fix-the-Internet Incubator Summer Startup Studio. Compensation will be competitive with tech company internships and summer programs.

This Spring MVP Lab can be an outlet for students, faculty and builders who are looking to channel their energy and tech prowess to solve some of our most pressing problems today. This lab idea started before our current COVID-19 pandemic, and in light of our current events, we anticipate some submissions centered around COVID-19 and its impacts on society.

Students, faculty, builders and entrepreneurs invited to apply with their ideas to make the internet work better, in six specific focus areas. A few more details:

  • 8-week program that starts Wednesday, April 15, 2020
  • $2,500 to each individual accepted into the program (Mozilla expects people to apply in teams of two to four)
  • $25,000 prize for the team that produces the best MVP during the program

This is part of a multi-year, $200m program at Mozilla to invest in new ideas to help the internet work better.

Applications are open now.
