ECEE Blood Drive

Giving blood is one of the easiest ways for human beings to help each other out, but more and more the number of donors is decreasing while demand is on the rise. To help combat the need in our local community, the School of Electrical Computer and Energy Engineering along with Valiant (formerly United Blood Services) will be holding their annual blood drive on Wednesday, February 26, 2020.

Since 2017, Valiant and ECEE’s partnership recruited more than 100 donors and saved more than 300 lives. As the drive enters its fourth year, enlisting participants will once again be a focus, but educating faculty, staff and students about being good blood citizens is a top priority as well. One-time donations will always be needed and welcomed, but getting people to recognize the importance of regular donations is becoming critical. Many current regular donors are aging out or disqualified due to medical issues, making younger, healthier donors the lifeline of any blood donation program moving forward.

The entire engineering community is welcome at the ECEE blood drive!
