Do you know a student with a passion for serving the community and doing volunteer work? Nominate him or her for the ASU MLK Jr. Student Service-Leadership Award!
Servant-leadership is a practical philosophy, which supports people who choose to serve first and then lead as a way of expanding service to individuals and institutions. Servant leaders may or may not hold formal leadership positions. Servant-leadership encourages collaboration, trust, foresight, listening and the ethical use of power and empowerment.
Nominees must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students who exemplify the ideals of servant-leadership and are actively involved in volunteer service. The winner must be a full-time student during the spring 2020 semester.
The award winner will receive a $1,500 scholarship to be used toward educational costs.
