Do you know a student with a passion for serving the community and doing volunteer work? Nominate him or her for the ASU MLK Jr. Student Service-Leadership Award!

Servant-leadership is a practical philosophy, which supports people who choose to serve first and then lead as a way of expanding service to individuals and institutions. Servant leaders may or may not hold formal leadership positions. Servant-leadership encourages collaboration, trust, foresight, listening and the ethical use of power and empowerment.

Nominees must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students who exemplify the ideals of servant-leadership and are actively involved in volunteer service. The winner must be a full-time student during the spring 2020 semester.

The award winner will receive a $1,500 scholarship to be used toward educational costs.

Submit your nomination by Tuesday, October 1, 2019scan and email the nomination form to Michelle Johnson at mmjcap@asu.edu with the subject line “2020 MLK Student Nomination – [Candidate’s last name]”
