Abstract
Critical thinking skills are invaluable for tomorrow’s engineers and can be applied to numerous situations in the workplace that require problem-solving and reflection.
In this webinar, Jennifer Turns and Cindy Atman (University of Washington) provide an overview of the reflection activities that are most conducive to building these skills. Mani Mina (Iowa State University) will discuss an in-class activity that promotes critical thinking while also encouraging students’ ability to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global and societal context.
