Witness the intense competition between ASU and MIT student entrepreneurial teams as they pitch their entrepreneurial ventures for the chance to win a $100,000 Avnet-sponsored prize.

After this exciting showdown at the ASU Innovation Open on Friday, February 2, 2018, join us for a free lunch, keynote speaker Wasalu Jaco (previously known as Lupe Fiasco) and meet other VIPs.

You’ll also have a chance to network with more than 200 expected entrepreneurial community leaders from all over the country ranging from successful startups to corporate giants.

Students can sign up for a spot on a free ASU bus to the event and back to campus, and enter in a raffle to win General Admission tickets to the Phoenix Waste Management Open PGA golf tournament for Saturday, February 3, 2018.

9 a.m. – Students get on the bus at the Tempe campus – outside of the W.P. Carey School of Business — 401 E Lemon St., Tempe, AZ 85287

10 a.m. – Welcome from Kyle Squires, Dean of ASU Engineering + Bill Amelia, Avnet CEO

10:30 a.m. – Pitch #1 – Bloomer (MIT)

10:45 a.m. – Pitch #2 – Hygiea (ASU)

11:15 a.m. – Pitch #3 – W8X (MIT)

11:30 a.m. – Pitch #4 – Hoolest (ASU)

11:45 a.m. – Pitch #5 – AirGarage (ASU)

Noon – Free lunch

12:15 p.m. – Keynote: Wasalu Jaco (previously known as Lupe Fiasco)

1 p.m. – Awards and selfies with Wasalu, Sparky and other VIPs

2 p.m. – Students head back to the Tempe campus on the bus

3 p.m. – Students say goodbye to all their new friends and get off the bus
