In a career spanning more than 32 years in retail operations and information technology, Doug has successfully led teams across a variety of verticals and companies. He most recently served as executive chairman of the board for Sprouts Farmers Market, retiring in March 2017 after 15 years at the helm. Sprouts takes a nontraditional approach to natural foods by combining a supermarket marketing strategy with a natural and organic offering. Doug has been part of the Sprouts organization since its founding in 2002, serving in roles of increasing responsibility, including president and chief executive officer. During his tenure, he led the company through a period of dynamic organic growth, multiple acquisitions and a successful initial public offering in 2013.
