The Fulbright U.S. Scholar program offers a variety of opportunities specifically for early career and postdoctoral applicants. Applicants with fewer than five years of experience in their field/discipline can gain important research skills and build networks with fellow scholars.

Join CIES for a discussion of program options, and learn about some of the exciting new awards available around the world, including Australia, Chile, China, France, Italy, Israel, Mexico and Taiwan!

For the Fulbright Scholar Program, an applicant is eligible for postdoctoral awards if they will finish all of the requirements for their doctoral program by February 1, 2018, or have received their doctorate in the last five years (unless otherwise stipulated by an award description).

For eligibility factors, detailed application guidelines and review criteria, please visit the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program’s website. Applicants may also wish to join My Fulbright, a resource center for applicants interested in the program.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and the current competition will close on August 1, 2017.
