Family, friends, members of the community, faculty, staff and fellow students gathered to see what Fulton Undergraduate Research Initiative (FURI) students had been working on all semester at the Spring 2016 FURI Symposium on Friday, April 22. Through posters and some hands-on demonstrations, these 161 students presented their research and shared their findings.
Students who participate in FURI develop an idea for independent and thesis-based research and are mentored by a Fulton Schools faculty member. The students perform hands-on lab research and travel to workshops and international conferences.
Encourage your students to get involved with FURI in spring 2017
Undergraduate students interested in conducting research through FURI can find an application in fall 2016. The deadline to apply is noon on Wednesday, October 5.
