ASU faculty and staff are committed to ensuring the success of the university and its community. President Michael Crow honors individuals who show exceptional dedication and quality of work with the President’s Award for Individual Efforts.

“Through the efforts of ASU employees, we are creating one of the greatest learning environments ever established anywhere,” Crow says. “I appreciate the commitment and significant contributions demonstrated by our university employees, and I support the opportunities we have to acknowledge and celebrate the individual and collective accomplishments of our colleagues.”

Based on her quality of work as recorded by SUN Awards received from other faculty and staff all through 2015 and manager commendation of her performance, Stacey Bales was awarded this year’s President’s Award for Individual Excellence at the President’s Recognition Reception

Bales is Coordinator of Engineering Student Success and is based on the Polytechnic campus where she has coordinated first-year programming for the Fulton Schools residential students since January 2015. Before that she was an Academic Success Specialist with the School of Computing, Informatics, and Decision Systems Engineering Advising Center.

She is passionate about helping students make the most of their college experience and puts much time in volunteering at Fulton Schools events such as E2 and organizations such as her role as advisor of the Society of Women Engineers.
