The ASU Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) and ASU Staff Council are looking for presenters programming suggestions for the 2016 Professional Development Conference October 5-6, 2016. CSW and Staff Council encourage faculty, skilled staff members and graduate students with skills, experience and expertise to lead conference presentations.

Those interested in presenting should complete the proposal application and return it to the CSW Office (Centerpoint 4th floor) by Saturday, April 30. For questions contact Karen Engler-Weber, Program Director for the Office of the Provost and the CSW, at karen.engler@asu.edu.

What would be most helpful for your professional development? The CSW and Staff Council would like to hear from you about what you’d like to see offered this year. Fill out the survey of the campus where you’re most likely to attend the conference by Friday, April 22:

Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Tempe Campus
8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. each day
All ASU faculty, staff and students are invited to attend free of charge

The CSW/SC Professional Development Conference aims to provide readily accessible information, resources and strategies to help individuals succeed in their current position and in their long-term career.

Each campus has its own workshop sessions and lunchtime events that cover topics related to career development, workplace skills, leadership training, supervisory training, financial planning, work/life balance and more.

Last year nearly 1,500 people participated and the 2016 event will be even bigger.
