EcoCAR 3 is a competition between 16 North American universities and is sponsored by the U. S. Department of Energy and General Motors, as well as several other companies. The goals of the competition are to transform the Chevrolet Camaro by reducing its environmental impact and to produce the next generation of automotive engineers. The ASU team includes students from the programs of engineering, graphic information technology and technological entrepreneurship.
