Report an accessibility problem

November 12, 2015 is the 10 year anniversary of World Usability Day.  World Usability Day hosts events all over the world with people coming together to ensure that the services and products important to life are easier to access and simpler to use.

This year PayPal in Scottsdale is focusing on usability and innovation. During this 10-year anniversary celebration the University of Advancing Technology will be looking at innovations from the past 10 years and how they have affected user experience. Robert Shaw of the  International Institute for Innovation will be leading an innovation workshop.

The ASU Device and Usability Learning Lab will be discussing how design and technology innovations have changed the way students are being taught, both in-person and online. ASU’s Device and Usability Learning Lab is the first of its kind in Arizona, combining the concept of an open device lab with a usability research facility.

The lab is recognized as a leader in usability. Usability affects teaching more and more. Students have high expectations of usability – especially in online coursework. They expect immediate response. We are learning new ways to bridge the gap of online usability and the reality of user expectations.
