Night of the Open Door will be held in Tempe on Saturday, February 27, 2016. Exhibitors are needed for the popular event.

Night of the Open Door is the one night a year that ASU throws open its doors to the public to explore and experience the creative energy that powers a world-class university. This year, Night of the Open Door will take place in Tempe Saturday, February 27, 2016.

A signature event of the Arizona SciTech Festival, the evening offers a window into the creative energy that powers a world-class university, with more than 100 interactive activities. Thrill seekers, life-long learners and the just-plain-curious can enter doorways into laboratories, living collections and museums. Visitors experience artistic performances, hands-on activities and discover spaces normally closed to public view including the Biodesign Institute, ASU Super Computer, Mars Space Flight Facility, ASU Planetarium and Hasbrouck Insect Collection.

Fulton Engineering is a major partner in Night of the Open Door. This family-friendly event attracted nearly 10,000 visitors in 2015. Visitors will tour our labs and other facilities, participate in activities and learn about engineering. With hands-on activities and fun demonstrations we will showcase the talent and ingenuity of our engineering faculty and students and inspire the next generation of engineers.

We encourage you to get involved and be part of the success of the Night of the Open Door. It is easy to participate through one of the following:

  • Open your lab for tours and demonstrations.
  • Offer an age-appropriate, hands-on activity in the Fulton Engineering Expo Area near Engineering Center G-wing (ECG). These activities can be relatively simple demonstrations of engineering projects or principles or illustrate some important aspect of your research.

There have been some important changes to the exhibitor registration process. We will be hosting two informational meetings for those interested in participating in NOD 2016 at the Tempe campus. Meetings can be attended online or in person. We will review NEW registration procedures and other important information regarding the event.
