“What Happens in Advising, Stays with Students” was the theme of the 2015 Annual Conference for the Global Community for Academic Advising (NACADA) held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Fulton Schools of Engineering had great representation at the conference with advisors from each of the six schools in attendance.
The importance of an event like this is to meet and network with advisors from all over the country and internationally to see what they are doing that the Fulton School advisors could potentially adapt to fit ASU and implement in some way. Seeing peers and administrators from other institutions present their topics was a fun and engaging way for the group to learn more about the national advising community and bring back tools that will help grow the community at ASU and help students at the same time.
