Research promising industry impacts draws science foundation’s support for ASU engineers
Heather Emady, Owen Hildreth and Yuji Zhao have been selected to receive Bisgrove Awards to support their research – giving ASU faculty three of the five Bisgrove Awards bestowed by the foundation this year. Houston receives Jankowski Legacy Award
In more than 30 years at Arizona State University professor Sandra Houston has seen significant change. From being one of the first female engineering faculty members, to serving as one of the first female civil engineering department chairs in the country, to helping build a nationally recognized research effort. Now she’s been recognized for her efforts and long-term commitment to ASU and the Fulton Schools as the recipient of the Dan Jankowski Legacy Award. Read on Full Circle

Revealing rewards of collaborative approach to construction projects
Mounir El Asmar has been recognized by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for his outstanding contributions to construction management and construction engineering. He was presented the ASCE Thomas Fitch Rowland Prize on June 9 at the International Construction Specialty Conference in Canada for his research to quantify the performance of emerging construction project delivery systems. Read on Full Circle

Polytechnic School opens Arizona’s first open device lab for website testing and usability research
The new lab is modeled after the European concept of an open device lab and is the first of its kind in Arizona. The Device & Usability Learning Lab includes everything needed for website testing and usability research. Read on Full Circle
