Jade Silva, Undergraduate Student Engagement coordinator, received an Excellence in Diversity award from the Campus Environment Team on April 15, 2015.

Jade Silva, Undergraduate Student Engagement coordinator for Fulton Schools of Engineering, was honored by the Campus Environment Team at the Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Awards Breakfast held on April 15, 2015. Given annually, the Excellence in Diversity award recognizes faculty, staff and students who demonstrate a continuous commitment to cultural diversity, sponsor and/or participate in culturally diverse activities, and promote cultural diversity in all aspects of campus life; and model respectful treatment of all individuals.

Silva has organized diversity events including lectures, webinars and SAFEzone and DREAMzone certifications in addition to supporting the Engineering Projects in Community Service and Grand Challenge Scholars programs. She also coordinates leadership workshops and Order of the Engineer, a Fulton Schools tradition.
