FURI Symposium, Fall 2014

Faculty can find undergraduate student researchers through the FURI program. Students submitting a FURI proposal require a letter of support from their faculty mentor.

Mentor undergraduate students in a research experience through the Fulton Undergraduate Research Initiative (FURI, pronounced like “fury”). You can mentor up to five FURI students each semester, and receive $500 per student that completes FURI requirements.

FURI students can assist on your current research project, or you can mentor them as they explore their own research idea.

Students are preparing their applications for summer 2015, fall 2015 or spring 2016 now. Complete applications include a Faculty Mentor Proposal Support Letter.

The next application deadline for students is noon on March 3, 2015. Student proposals include:

  • Research Proposal (two pages maximum).
  • Bibliography.
  • Timeline.
  • Budget.
  • Personal statement.
  • Résumé.
  • Unofficial transcript.
  • FURI faculty mentor proposal support letter.

Fulton Schools undergraduate students are eligible for up to two semesters of FURI funding throughout their time at ASU.
