Faculty are invited to an important meeting for ASU administrators, faculty members, and staff who are interested to learn more about developing a new summer 2015 ASU faculty-directed study abroad program in collaboration with the ASU Study Abroad Office (SAO). We strongly encourage faculty who have never directed a study abroad program to join and attend!

ASU faculty are key to the sustainable success of study abroad at ASU. Faculty have tremendous influence on students’ learning and development. In addition to their interaction with students in the classroom where we encourage them to promote study abroad, faculty also have the opportunity to work with the SAO to plan, create, and teach on a study abroad program. The SAO provides administrative and logistical support for all ASU sponsored faculty-directed summer study abroad programs. These programs offer educational and cultural opportunities to nearly a thousand students each summer. ASU faculty-directed programs are designed to encourage a diverse variety of students to study abroad. These opportunities would not be possible without the dedication and effort of the faculty who lead these programs.
