High school juniors and seniors and ASU freshmen and sophomores can apply to join BioXFEL Ed. In this program, students will participate in science and technology exploration with ASU faculty and staff for eight Wednesdays each semester. Students are part of a “scientific village community” that conducts investigations about X-ray free electron lasers and related sciences.

BioXFEL Ed meets on various Wednesdays from 3:45 to 6:00 p.m., at the Physical Science Labs at ASU Tempe campus. see BioXFEL Ed Student flier and application for a complete list of program dates.

Participation in the program is free, and the application deadline is Friday, February 3, 2014.

The application requires grades B or better in all science, technology, engineering and mathematics courses completed, including high school Algebra 1 and Biology.
