Join Joseph Hui, professor in the School of Electrical, Computing and Energy Engineering, for a demonstration of the solar-powered “Lotus Mobile” Tesla Roadster, featuring a portable solar-energy device that powers this electric car.
Hui will explain the physics of solar cells, battery cells and electric motoring, and talk about the potential of solar technology as an energy source for transportation, heating and cooling buildings, water purification, communications devices, entertainment and more.
