Three researchers in the Data Mining and Machine Learning Lab of the School of Computing, Informatics, and Decision Systems Engineering have authored a detailed introduction to the use of the social medium Twitter for data analysis.
The writers of “Twitter Data Analytics” are professor of computer science and engineering Huan Liu, and computer science doctoral students Shamanth Kumar and Fred Morstatter.
The book shows how open data sharing through Twitter can be harnessed to help researchers verify hypotheses, reveal relevant data patterns and develop real-world applications for large datasets derived from Twitter.
