Have you ever thought about becoming a University Staff Council member? The Staff Council plays an important role in advancing the New American University through its efforts to improve the work environment and sense of community for all university staff. Serving on the Staff Council is a terrific way to deepen your understanding of higher education while developing leadership skills and expanding your peer network.
The University Staff Council is accepting nominations for representatives who will serve beginning July 2013. If you are a benefits-eligible (50% FTE or more) classified staff or service professional, you can nominate yourself or a colleague.
Send nominations to staffcouncil@asu.edu no later than Friday, April 19. Nominees will be notified and interested candidates will be asked to provide a short bio and personal statement about why they would like to be a Staff Council representative. Elections will take place in late April.
