Lenore Dai received special recognition from the ASU Parents Association. She received the Parents Association Special Recognition Award for 2012. She has been a faculty member in chemical engineering for the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering since the fall 2008.
Brian Perea, a senior in chemical engineering, nominated Dai for the 2012 Professor of the Year award. In a video about the 2012 nominees, he commends Dai for her dedication to her work and her students.
The ASU Parents Association seeks candidates for the award who are inspirational among students and other faculty. They look for individuals with a long history of motivating and mentoring students, and helping them achieve excellence in their education and their community.
The 2012 Professor of the Year award was presented to Ian Gould, a professor of chemistry and biochemistry for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Dai and Danwen Jiang, a professor of music in the Herberger Institute of Design and the Arts, were given honorary awards for their hard work and commitment.
