ASTM International Aerospace and Aircraft Committee names Boeing’s Ed Babcock as chairman (ASTM)
ASTM International Committee F07 on Aerospace and Aircraft has elected Ed Babcock, engineer and scientist at the Boeing Co. in Mesa, Ariz., as chairman for a two-year term. Committee F07 includes more than 100 members who oversee 47 standard practices and test methods for aerospace, aircraft and allied industry materials.

A graduate of Arizona State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in materials science and engineering, Babcock has been with Boeing since 1994. Prior to that he was a project engineer at ACME Electric in Tempe, Ariz.
