Transitioning transportation fuels: Options for the future
A transition from conventional oil as the prime source of raw material for transportation fuel lies ahead, but what will we transition to and how will we decide? Will we even know we have decided? Gary Dirks, director of LightWorks, will discuss the future of transportation fuels and the role ASU and Arizona might play in it.
LightWorks pulls light-inspired research at ASU under one strategic framework. It is a multidisciplinary effort to leverage ASU’s unique strengths, particularly in renewable energy fields including artificial photosynthesis, biofuels, and next-generation photovoltaics.
