Tom Prescott, civil engineering alumnus ’80, is CEO of Align Technology, Inc., a global medical device company that pioneered the invisible orthodontics market with the introduction of the Invisalign system in 1999 and continues to develop and deliver cutting-edge dental products. He arranged a forum for ASU biomedical engineering students to meet with Silicon Valley CEOs and venture capitalists in the medical device industry. Tom and his colleagues hold similar events at Stanford and he wanted to bring the same experience to his alma mater. Tom’s colleagues were impressed with the knowledge and passion that the students have for the biomedical field.
