James Middleton, professor of engineering education in the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy, will receive the 2011 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award from the University of Wisconsin School of Education on Nov. 17.

The award recognizes Middleton’s career accomplishments in educational psychology and curriculum and instruction programs.

He earned his doctorate in educational psychology and mathematics education from the University of Wisconsin in 1992.

Middleton will give a lecture on engineering education as part of the award event.
