The 2011 Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering Halloween Decorating Contest begins Monday, Oct. 3. Judging will take place Wednesday, Oct. 19 so rally the staff, faculty and students and form your DECORATING TEAM today.
Show your Sparky spirit! Homecoming is Oct. 29 and this year’s homecoming theme is “Past-Present-Future” and there will be a special judging category for all of you who bleed maroon and gold. Use your creativity and decorate your school’s main departmental office(s) with ASU-themed spooky style.
This year’s grand prize will be a Spirit Pack for all individuals who participate on the winning decorating team. Additional prizes will be awarded in the categories of MOST CREATIVE, BEST USE OF MAROON AND GOLD, BEST USE OF HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS, and a JUDGES CHOICE category developed by our student judges.
Contest Rules:
- Departments can spend up to $50 for store-bought decorations. Your decorating team can also make, borrow or use donated items.
- GET STARTED. Judging will take place Oct. 19.
- Dean Johnson and a panel of engineering students will judge the decorations and select the winners.
- Prizes will be awarded on Oct. 28.
