Last year, the Graduate & Professional Student Association (GPSA) supported over 120 ASU graduate and professional students with more than $130,000 in awards for conducting research. The research grant programs are being offered again this year:

Graduate Research Support Program
The 15th Annual Graduate Research Support Program (GRSP) is sponsored by the Graduate College and the Office of Knowledge Enterprise Development. GPSA serves as the program administrator for this research grant, which is open to any current graduate student at Arizona State University. The grant sponsors up to $2000 for terminal research (i.e., thesis or dissertation) and up to $750 for independent research.

This competition is held during the fall semester only. Please see the GPSA website (http://gpsa.asu.edu) for important dates, guidelines, and application instructions.

GRSP application deadline: Thursday, Oct. 6 by 5 p.m. MST

JumpStart Research Grant
The JumpStart program is sponsored and administered by GPSA. This grant is a smaller award (maximum of $500) intended for startup costs such as participant incentives, copying/printing, transcription services, small equipment purchases, and other expenses to get your projects off the ground.

This competition is expected to be held twice this year, with one cycle in the fall and one cycle in the spring. Eligible purchases made since July 1, 2011, may be submitted by awardees for reimbursement; if you are interested in applying, save original receipts for any expenses you incur. The guidelines for this program have changed this year. Please see the GPSA website (http://gpsa.asu.edu) for program rules and application instructions.

Fall JumpStart application deadline: Thursday, Nov. 17 by 5 p.m. MST
Spring JumpStart application deadline: Thursday, Feb. 2 by 5 p.m. MST
