Jessica Slater wants you to wear gold on Fridays! Jessica has taken up the challenge to show her spirit wearing gold every Friday for a year! You can catch pictures of Jessica in the ASU Gold blog on Tumblr every Friday. Join the fun and submit your own pictures! And if that’s not enough fun, you can receive 10% off at Sun Devil dining locations when you wear gold on Fridays (certain restrictions apply, check the website for more details).

Fulton Engineering’s Class of 2015 set the high bar for spirit at the Sun Devil Welcome event yesterday at Wells Fargo Arena. They spontaneously started chanting “Ira! Ira! Ira!” in honor of Mr. Ira A. Fulton. Watch the video (at the end of this post) to see it get started.

Women’s soccer and volleyball are starting their seasons this week and will be followed by cross country running and golf later this semester. The Pitchfork Pass (formerly Sparky Pass) can get you general admission seating to all regular season Olympic sport events. During the Sun Devil Welcome, President Crow addressed the freshmen and described ASU's vision for a New American University. Crow stressed that faculty and staff are here to support our students' success.
