The Engineers Club of the West Valley seeks ASU engineers to speak about their research at the group’s lunchtime events. The main focus of the group is awarding scholarships to high school graduates planning to pursue careers in engineering and science — including incoming ASU students.

Club meetings are on the first Friday of the month at the Briarwood Country Club in Sun City West. The events often draw about 100 people.

The talks by engineers are typically one hour, including time for a question-and-answer segment. Audio/visual equipment is available for PowerPoint presentations.

There are openings for a speaker for the December 2 meeting and  other dates in 2012.
