On July 13, the office of Global Outreach and Extended Education hosted a forum to solicit feedback from industry representatives on establishing an industry-recognized continuing education solar certification program. The effort capitalizes on ASU’s Solar Energy Engineering and Commercialization Professional Science Master’s program and grant funding available through the city of Phoenix.
Representatives from Abengoa Solar, First Solar, FLUX Energy, APS, SRP, City of Phoenix, Quarles & Brady, ASU LightWorks and EnviroMission discussed strategies for implementation of an effective certification program that would enable companies to remain responsive to changing technologies and policies and further advance Arizona’s solar industry.
