Report an accessibility problem

ASU has added a new messaging option for students, faculty and staff who wish to receive notifications for mid-level incidents such as a small fire or unexpected closure of a building on campus.

This new alert service is called ASU Advisory. The ASU Community can receive vital information during an incident through text messages, emails, Facebook and an RSS feed. In addition, ASU Alert is on Twitter. While ASU Alert messages are sent during major emergencies that affect life/safety,  an ASU Advisory will be sent for incidents that are categorized as a level below ASU Alert.

ASU Advisory will be sent in situations such as:

  • Power outage affecting part of campus during temperate times in the spring, fall and winter when extreme temperatures don’t threaten life/safety.
  • Flooding in a building that will affect classes that day.
  • Laboratory accident that affects a building.
